Westpac’s all about helping Kiwis get to where they want to be. So come along for the ride – because we’re heading your way.
| 2011 is an important milestone for Westpac – because we’ve now been part of Kiwi lives for 150 years. And while we’re pretty pleased about that, it’s the future that’s got us really excited. Here’s a snapshot of who we are today, and where we’re headed. |
| Most of you simply know us as Westpac. But if you want to get technical, we actually operate two banks in New Zealand: Westpac New Zealand Limited, and Westpac Banking Corporation (NZ division). Yep, that’s a bit of mouthful, so here’s the simple explanation. |
| Westpac New Zealand Limited provides a full range of banking and financial services for personal, business, agribusiness, corporate and institutional customers. We’re also the banker to the New Zealand Government. |
| As one the country’s largest full service banks, Westpac New Zealand Limited has: |
- over 1.2 million customers
- around 200 branches and 500 ATMs nationwide
- over 5,500 staff
- around 900,000 registered users of our Online Banking service - performing 3 million transactions online (as of June 2009)
| Westpac Banking Corporation (NZ division) operates as a branch of its parent bank, Westpac Banking Corporation. It provides a full range of international trade, payments and financial markets transaction and services to Westpac New Zealand’s customers. |
| At Westpac, we’re all about helping New Zealanders get to where they want to be. This means: |
- helping our customers and staff be confident about the financial decisions they make, and about achieving what they want in life
- being social and environmental sustainability – and ‘walking the talk’ when it comes to helping our communities and businesses
- supporting a wide range of programmes and organisations that Kiwis are passionate about
- supporting our Kiwi businesses and organizations to fulfill their potential and become world-class
| In 2011, we’re celebrating 150 years in New Zealand. While we’re pretty stoked about that, it’s the future that’s got us really excited. And we’re going to be celebrating in style – so watch this space. |
